Three people are touched by death in different ways: Matt Damon as George Lonegan, an American factory worker who can communicate with the dead; Cécile de France as Marie Lelay, a French television journalist who survives a near-death experience during the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami; and Frankie and George McLaren as Jason and Marcus, 12-year-old twin brothers whose lives are forever changed by their loss.
