Cécile de France is a Belgian actress born on July 17, 1975, who achieved success in French cinema with roles in L'Art (délicat) de la séduction and Irène, before gaining international attention for her lead roles in High Tension and Hereafter. She studied theatre in Paris and Lyon, and was discovered by agent Dominique Besnehard, leading to breakthrough roles in French hits and a major role in Around the World in 80 Days alongside Jackie Chan.
