L'instinct de mort

Vincent Cassel stars as Jacques Mesrine, a former soldier turned gangster, who rises to power in 1960s Paris with the help of mentor Guido (Gérard Depardieu) and falls in love with Jeanne Schneider (Cécile de France), as he navigates a life of crime, violence, and escape. After a stint in prison, Mesrine teams up with Jeanne to plan a daring kidnapping in Canada, but their lives take a deadly turn when they are caught and forced to kill two forest rangers. The film follows Mesrine's rise and fall, set against the backdrop of his complex relationships and his struggles to survive in a world that seems determined to bring him down.
