In this 1933 British comedy film directed by Monty Banks, Stanley Lupino plays Tom Daly, a rich American businessman who pretends to be penniless in order to secure his daughter Pamela's (Thelma Todd) marriage to a composer. The plot is loosely based on William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew".
