House of Dark Shadows

Barnabas Collins, played by Jonathan Frid, searches for a cure for vampirism to marry a woman resembling his long-lost fiancée Josette du Pres, Maggie Evans. As he introduces himself to the family, he becomes smitten with Maggie, but his attempts to win her over lead to a series of tragic events, including the transformation of his nemesis, Carolyn Stoddard, and the eventual downfall of those around him. In the end, it is Maggie who holds the key to Barnabas's transformation, but not before he must confront the evil forces that have consumed his life.
