Alex Whitman (Matthew Perry), a New York City architect, meets Isabel Fuentes (Salma Hayek), a free-spirited Mexican photographer, in Las Vegas. After a one-night stand, Isabel reveals she's pregnant, and they decide to get married, navigating cultural traditions and compromise. As they navigate their new life together, they must confront their differences and the challenges of building a relationship around their conflicting family backgrounds.
