Salma Hayek Pinault is a Mexican and American actress and film producer born on September 2, 1966. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Frida Kahlo in the biopic Frida (2002), which earned her an Academy Award nomination as the first Mexican actress to be recognized for Best Actress. With a successful transition from acting to producing, Hayek has received four Emmy Awards nominations and won one Daytime Emmy Award.
