Once Upon a Time in Mexico

Once Upon a Time in Mexico is a 2003 American neo-Western action film written, directed, produced, photographed, scored, and edited by Robert Rodriguez. It features Antonio Banderas as El Mariachi, who is recruited by CIA agent Sheldon Jeffrey Sands (Johnny Depp) to kill General Emiliano Marquez, a corrupt Mexican Army officer hired by a drug kingpin to assassinate the President of Mexico. The film follows El Mariachi's mission to protect the President and ultimately take down the corrupt officials involved in the plot, including Sands's own betrayal.
