Lost in Alaska

In the 1952 American comedy film Lost in Alaska, firemen George Bell (Lou Costello) and Tom Watson (Bud Abbott) rescue a gold prospector, Nugget Joe McDermott (Tom Ewell), from committing suicide, only to have the police mistakenly believe they murdered him. The duo, along with Joe's love interest Rosette (Mitzi Green), embark on a series of adventures in Alaska, where Joe's past as a former sheriff and his connections to a casino owner Jake Stillman (Bruce Cabot) threaten their lives. Ultimately, the group outwits their pursuers and overcomes their greed for friendship, leading to a romantic marriage between Joe and Rosette.
