The Pearl of Death

Basil Rathbone stars as Sherlock Holmes, a private detective, in this 1944 crime thriller. The famous Borgia Pearl, a valuable gem with a history of bringing murder and misfortune to its owner, is brought to London, thanks in part to Holmes. However, the jewel is stolen, and a series of horrible murders begin, with the murderer leaving his victims with their spines snapped and surrounded by smashed china. As Holmes investigates, he discovers that the killings are all linked to the pearl, and he must track it down before the killer strikes again.
