Miles Mander

Biography

Miles Mander was a versatile English character actor of early Hollywood cinema, known for his roles in notable films such as "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and "Murder, My Sweet". He began writing screenplays and directing in the mid-1920s, establishing an international reputation as a character actor with the advent of sound films. Mander directed over 60 feature films before his death in 1946, including "The Flying Doctor", which he filmed in Australia in 1936.
