The Little Princess

Sara Crewe (Shirley Temple), a young girl, searches for her father who is reported missing by the military during the Second Boer War. She is initially left at a posh boarding school run by the strict Miss Minchin, but after receiving news that her father has died, she becomes a servant at the school. Sara finds solace in a friendship with Ram Dass, Lord Wickham's servant, and eventually discovers that her father, Captain Crewe, is alive and recovering in a hospital.
