Marcia Mae Jones

Biography

Marcia Mae Jones was a child actress born on August 1, 1924, to an acting family. She debuted at six months old in the 1926 film Mannequin and rose to stardom with roles alongside Shirley Temple, including Heidi (1937) and The Little Princess (1939). Her career slowed in the 1950s but continued in television, before she faced personal struggles with alcohol dependency and eventually became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. She died on September 2, 2007.
