Heidi

This heartwarming film tells the story of Heidi, an eight-year-old Swiss orphan who is given to her mountain-dwelling grandfather, Adolph, by her uncaring aunt Dete. Despite initial coolness from her grandfather, Heidi's cheery nature wins him over, and he is drawn back into mountain society through her sweet ways and love. When Dete steals Heidi away to live in the wealthy Sesemann household as a companion to Klara, a sheltered, disabled girl, Heidi's grandfather sets out to rescue his little girl, leading to a joyful reunion on the mountain with Herr Sesemann and Klara visiting.
