The World's Fastest Indian

The film tells the story of New Zealander Burt Munro, who builds a 1920 Indian motorcycle that helps him set the land-speed world record at Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967. Anthony Hopkins stars as Munro, a folk hero in his hometown of Invercargill, known for his friendly personality and fastest motorcycle in New Zealand and Australia. As Munro prepares to travel to the US to test his motorcycle's capabilities, he faces bureaucracy, skepticism, and the indifference of big city people, but his blunt and gregarious nature ultimately helps him overcome these hurdles. Along the way, he meets numerous helpful people, including highway police, a Native American man, and a woman named Ada, who allows him to repair his trailer in her garage.
