A young man, Rahul Raichand (Shah Rukh Khan), sets out to reunite his estranged family after his father, Yashvardhan "Yash" Raichand (Amitabh Bachchan), disowns him for marrying a woman of lower social standing. Rahul's younger brother, Rohan (Hrithik Roshan), helps him in his mission, leading to a series of events that ultimately bring the family together.
