Don Tyler (Donald Sutherland), a renowned American film director, falls ill on the sets of his movie, prompting his friend, Yoyo (Ge You), a Beijing cameraman, to plan a grand, comedic funeral for him. As the funeral becomes the focus of media attention, Yoyo enlists the help of a businessman friend, Louis Wang, to attract sponsors, leading to a series of unexpected and hilarious events. Amidst the chaos, Yoyo and the film's Lucy (Rosamund Kwan) form a bond, and the film ultimately becomes a heartwarming story of love and friendship.
