In a dystopian thriller, prisoners are held in a tower where a vertically moving platform dispenses food, creating a class structure where those above control those below. Goreng, a man who volunteered for six months in the facility, soon becomes haunted by hallucinations of his former cellmate Trimagasi after a violent confrontation with Miharu, a woman who descends the platform to search for her child. As Goreng and his new cellmate Baharat descend through the tower, they become embroiled in a struggle for survival and a possible message of social change. The film's ending leaves many questions unanswered, leaving the viewer to ponder the implications of the tower's oppressive system.
