Tom Cruise plays Jack Reacher, an enigmatic ex-Army investigator who helps investigate a mass shooting apparently perpetrated by a trained military sniper. When the police catch the suspect, James Barr, he writes "GET JACK REACHER" on a legal pad, leading Reacher to help with the case.
