Jacob Singer, an American infantryman, struggles to maintain his sanity after returning home from the Vietnam War. As he descends into madness, Jacob's world and people around him morph and twist into disturbing images, blurring the lines between reality and nightmare. Haunted by hallucinations and flashbacks, Jacob's grip on reality falters as he grapples with post-traumatic stress disorder, paranoia, and grief, ultimately leading to a devastating confrontation with his own mortality.
