In the 2005 Hong Kong crime film "Election", Lok (Simon Yam) and Big D (Tony Leung Ka-fai) engage in a power struggle to become the new leader of the Wo Lin Shing triad. After Lok is elected, Big D refuses to accept the result and attempts to seize the triad's symbol of authority, the dragon-head baton. The police intervene, arresting key figures, including Whistle, Big D, and Lok, who is handcuffed and taken away in front of his young son. Lok's supporters search for the baton, leading to a cat-and-mouse game between the triad members, including Kun (Nick Cheung Ka-Fai) and Jimmy (Louis Koo). In the end, Lok secures his position as chairman and offers a deal to Big D, allowing them to take over the lucrative Tsim Sha Tsui area together.
