Police officers Renee Lomito-Smith (Mary J. Blige) and rookie Danny Holledge (Nat Wolff) are on the hunt for a killer, but their insomnia issues make it hard to stay awake to do their job. The duo soon discovers that a mysterious supernatural force is behind the gruesome murders, which only adds to their struggle to stay awake. As they dig deeper, they uncover a dark conspiracy involving their colleagues, and they must confront the entity behind the murders to crack the case.
