Kings of the Sun

In 1963, Yul Brynner stars as Chief Black Eagle in Kings of the Sun, a film about a young Mayan king named Balam (George Chakiris) who leads his people to safety after their city is invaded, only to find themselves at odds with a Native American tribe led by Black Eagle, with whom he falls in love to Ixchel (Shirley Anne Field). The conflict ultimately boils down to a violent battle between the two groups, which Balam and Black Eagle manage to resolve through peaceful coexistence.
