Yul Brynner was a Russian-born American actor of stage and film, best known for his iconic role as Mongkut in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The King and I, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor. He also starred in notable films such as The Ten Commandments, General Bounine in Anastasia, and Chris Adams in The Magnificent Seven. Brynner's distinctive shaved head became a personal trademark, and he was recognized with a handprint ceremony at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in 1956.
