The Light at the Edge of the World

In 1865, Will Denton, a jaded American miner, lives as a lighthouse keeper on a rocky island near the Tierra del Fuego archipelago. When a shipload of pirates, led by the diabolical Captain Jonathan Kongre, arrive and murder his colleagues, Denton hides out in the caves and wages a guerrilla war against the pirates. He saves an Italian wreck survivor, Montefiore, but ultimately kills him to spare his suffering. As Denton and the remaining pirates, including Kongre, engage in a violent struggle, Denton escapes to safety, while Kongre meets a fiery end.
