The War of the Worlds

A flaming meteor lands near a small town in rural California, revealing the beginning of an extraterrestrial invasion. Gene Barry and Ann Robinson play the protagonists, who are seriously reminiscent of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, as they navigate the alien invasion. The movie loosely interprets H.G. Wells' classic novel, with the setting changed from Victorian era England to 1950s Southern California.
