Megan Burch (Keira Knightley), a 28-year-old woman in a quarterlife crisis, flees her engagement after her boyfriend proposes. She hides out in the home of her new friend Annika and her single dad Craig Hunter (Sam Rockwell), leading to unexpected relationships and revelations about their pasts. As Megan navigates this new situation, she must confront her existential crisis and figure out who she is outside of her stagnant relationship.
