Count Three and Pray

A pastor with a shady past, Van Heflin as Luke Fargo, moves into a rural town just after the Civil War. He faces a tough reception from the townsfolk, particularly Yancey Huggins, who sees him as a threat to his control. Meanwhile, Fargo encounters two women from his past, Lissy, a teenage orphan who eventually wins his heart, and Georgina Decrais, who tries to revive their romance. As Fargo navigates his new life as a minister, he must confront his troubled past and win over the hearts of those around him.
