Irresistible

A Democratic political consultant, Gary Zimmer (Steve Carell), helps a retired Marine colonel, Jack Hastings (Chris Cooper), run for mayor in a small, conservative Wisconsin town. The film is a political satire that follows Gary's efforts to convince Jack to run, despite the town's conservative beliefs and limited resources. With the help of his daughter, Diana (Mackenzie Davis), Gary tries to outmaneuver his opponent, Faith Brewster (Rose Byrne), in a bid to win the election.
