Lupin III: The First

Lupin III: The First is an action-packed, continent-spanning adventure that follows gentleman thief Arsène Lupin III and his colorful underworld companions as they race to uncover the secrets of the mysterious Bresson Diary, before it falls into the hands of a dark cabal that will stop at nothing to resurrect the Third Reich. Kanichi Kurita voices Lupin III, alongside Kiyoshi Kobayashi as Daisuke Jigen, Miyuki Sawashiro as Fujiko Mine, Daisuke Namikawa as Goemon Ishikawa XIII, and Kōichi Yamadera as Inspector Koichi Zenigata. The film is dedicated to the memory of manga creator Monkey Punch and was written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, who also directed the Gintama: The Final anime film, which stars Koichi Yamadera. Set during the late 1960s of the Shōwa era, the film follows Lupin III as he tries to steal the Bresson Diary, a treasure even his grandfather failed to catch, and finds himself in a battle for the diary with a Nazi treasure-hunter group led by Lambert and Geralt.
