La donna della domenica

Commissioner Santamaria (Marcello Mastroianni) investigates the murder of architect Garrone, a case that leads him into Turin's high society and complicates his investigation further when he falls for Anna Carla (Jacqueline Bisset), whose friend Massimo (Jean-Louis Trintignant) is gay and being pursued by Lello (Aldo Reggiani). As Santamaria digs deeper, a second murder occurs, ultimately revealing the identity of the killer, Ines Tabusso (Maria Teresa Albani), who had been using Garrone to further her own interests. With the case solved, Santamaria and Anna Carla can enjoy their blossoming relationship.
