Jean-Louis Trintignant was a French actor regarded as one of the best dramatic actors of post-war France. He made his breakthrough in And God Created Woman (1956) and starred in numerous classic European films with prominent directors like Roger Vadim, François Truffaut, and Michael Haneke. His notable performances include A Man and a Woman (1966), The Great Silence (1968), and Amour (2013), for which he won the 2013 César Award for Best Actor.
