The 1972 French-Italian crime thriller "And Hope to Die" follows French pilot Tony Cardot (Jean-Louis Trintignant), who is blamed for the death of three Romani children in a plane crash and flees to Canada. In Montreal, Tony witnesses a shootout and meets American gangster Charley Ellis (Robert Ryan), who forces him to join in his gang's latest scheme.
