Mickybo and Me

Two young boys, Mickybo (John Joe McNeill) and Jonjo (Niall Wright), form an unlikely friendship in Belfast during the Troubles, bonding over their shared obsession with the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. As they navigate their different backgrounds and the reality of their world, they embark on a series of misadventures, including a 'bank robbery' and a thrilling escape from the police. The film follows their journey towards the ferry that they believe will carry them to Australia, where they dream of a better life. Thirty years later, Mickybo receives a surprise letter from Jonjo, reconnecting them to their shared past.
