King John

When the King of France demands that John relinquish his crown in favor of his nephew, the young Prince Arthur, war is the inevitable result. Excommunication, attempted atrocity, rebellion, and assassination contribute to political turmoil and personal grief for a mother who has lost her son, particularly as the son of a bastard. The conflict escalates as the king's mother, Queen Eleanor, navigates the treacherous landscape of court politics. The film is based on a stage play and was filmed as a live theatre production.
