Le scandale

In the 1967 French crime thriller "The Champagne Murders," Maurice Ronet plays Paul Wagner, a champagne tycoon's partner whose reputation is marred by his excessive drinking and womanizing. As Paul's behavior becomes increasingly erratic, he seeks the help of his wife's assistant, Christine (Yvonne Furneaux), who takes advantage of his situation to secure control of the family business. When Christine is found murdered, Christopher Belling (Anthony Perkins), Paul's partner, turns to a mysterious blonde, Jacqueline (Stéphane Audran), who reveals herself to be the mastermind behind the murders.
