When Hollywood superstar George Reeves dies in his home, private detective Louis Simo (Adrien Brody) is hired to investigate his death and gets caught in a web of lies involving a big studio executive's wife, Toni Mannix (Diane Lane). Based on a true story, the film presents a fictionalized account of the circumstances surrounding Reeves's death, who was the star of the 1950s film Superman and the television series Adventures of Superman.
