The Pallbearer

Aspiring architect Tom Thompson (David Schwimmer) agrees to give a eulogy for a friend, Bill, who supposedly died by suicide, only to discover that he never met Bill. This mistaken identity sets Tom on a collision course with Ruth Abernathy (Carol Kane), Bill's oversexed mother, and Julie DeMarco (Gwyneth Paltrow), Tom's high school crush, who reappears in town. As Tom navigates his relationships with these two women, he must confront his own feelings and the true circumstances surrounding Bill's death.
