Hell Is for Heroes

A U.S. infantry squad, led by Sergeant Larkin, holds off a German company for 48 hours along the Siegfried Line, as they await reinforcements. Private John Reese, a former master sergeant with a Distinguished Service Cross, joins the platoon and, despite initial reservations, leads a daring attack on a German pillbox, ultimately sacrificing himself in the process. The squad's ruse, combined with Reese's bravery, convinces the Germans that a larger force is still holding the position, allowing the platoon to maintain its defensive line.
