L.Q. Jones
Biography
L.Q. Jones was a character actor and film director born on August 19, 1927, in Beaumont, Texas. He began his career as a stand-up comic, briefly playing professional baseball and football, before turning to acting after corresponding with his college roommate Fess Parker. Jones appeared in numerous films, including those of Sam Peckinpah, and television western series such as Cheyenne and Gunsmoke.
