In a Wyoming Territory torn between progress and preservation, one man's quest for justice becomes an all-consuming force that threatens to destroy him. A horse trader, Myrl Redding, finds himself at the mercy of the law when it fails to hold accountable a fellow rancher who abuses his horses. With the help of a local militia, Redding takes matters into his own hands, leading to a violent confrontation with the landowner and ultimately, a heartbreaking execution by hanging.
