Ride the High Country

Aging ex-lawman Steve Judd (Joel McCrea) is hired to transport gold from a mining community through dangerous territory alongside his old friend and partner Gil Westrum (Randolph Scott). Unbeknownst to Judd, Gil has other ideas, and their journey takes a deadly turn as they are betrayed by Heck Longtree (Ron Starr), their young sidekick. As the trio navigates treacherous terrain and outlaws, Elsa Knudsen's (Mariette Hartley) fate becomes intertwined with theirs, leading to a violent confrontation that will decide their ultimate fates.
