Brubaker

Henry Brubaker, played by Robert Redford, is a newly arrived prison warden in Arkansas who attempts to clean up a corrupt and violent penal system. He witnesses rampant abuse and corruption, including open and endemic sexual assault, torture, and graft, and recruits trustys to assist him in reforming the prison. Brubaker clashes with corrupt officials on the state prison board, but ultimately meets with C.P. Woodward, a lumber salesman and longtime participant in the prison graft scheme, and discovers the true extent of the corruption and abuse.
