Man Without a Star

Kirk Douglas stars as Dempsey Rae, a wandering cowboy who befriends young hot head Jeff Jimson (William Campbell) after saving him from trouble on a train. The pair finds work on a 10,000-head ranch owned by the beautiful Reed Bowman (Jeanne Crain), but their lives are complicated when Bowman's plans to triple her herd spark a range war that Rae must navigate. As Rae becomes embroiled in the conflict, he must confront his own feelings for Bowman and decide where his loyalties truly lie.
