Un giorno in pretura

A day in the Italian trial court, where Judge Salomone Lo Russo (Peppino De Filippo) presides over a variety of peculiar cases. A poor old man is found guilty of stealing and eating a cat. An engaged couple, Leopoldo (Leopoldo Trieste) and Teresa (Armenia Balducci), are accused of compromising behavior in a parked car, while Elena (Tania Weber) accuses her husband, Paolo (Virgilio Riento), of abandoning their marital home. Meanwhile, Nando (Alberto Sordi) is arrested for going around naked, but swears it was an accident, and Don Michele (Walter Chiari) is found guilty of starting a brawl in a pool hall after being confronted by Anna, a beautiful young prostitute (Sophia Loren).
