The Return of the Soldier

The Return of the Soldier is a 1982 British drama film about a shell-shocked officer, Captain Chris Baldry, who returns from World War I and suffers from amnesia, unable to recognize his own wife, Kitty. As he seeks comfort in his past relationships, he rekindles his childhood romance with Margaret Grey and develops a childish attachment to his older cousin, Jenny. As his family tries to help him recover his memories, they hope it will lead to a cure for his emotional trauma.
