Le capitan

Le capitan, a 1960 French-Italian swashbuckler film directed by André Hunebelle, follows the story of François de Capestang, played by Jean Marais, a brave knight determined to fight for justice and protect his king's crown. Along with Cogolin, a street performer turned confidant, played by Bourvil, François sets out to rescue Gisèle d'Angoulême, played by Elsa Martinelli, from captivity, facing various challenges and obstacles along the way. The film is based on a novel by Michel Zévaco and follows the narrative of the conflict between Concino Concini, the prime minister, and the nobles, ultimately leading to a climactic battle at Saint-Leu castle.
