André Bourvil was a French actor and singer renowned for his comedic roles in films such as Le Corniaud (1965) and La Grande Vadrouille (1966), which showcased his gentle and well-meaning characters often played opposite the hyperactive Louis de Funès. He also demonstrated dramatic range in roles like Monsieur Thénardier in Les Misérables (1958) and the handyman in L'Arbre de Noël (1969). Bourvil's performances earned him recognition, including a Special Diploma at the 4th Moscow International Film Festival.
