The Brain

In "The Brain," Jean-Paul Belmondo and Bourvil play two French petty crooks who team up for a daring train robbery from Paris to Brussels. However, they soon discover that their target is also after the same loot, with Colonel Matthews (David Niven), aka 'Le Cerveau', masterminding the heist behind the Great Train Robbery of 1963. As the robbers try to outsmart each other, Sofia Scannapieco (Silvia Monti) plays a cat burglar who catches Colonel Matthews' eye and becomes embroiled in his plans. The film follows the chaotic chase that ensues as Arthur, Anatole, and the Colonel's team pursue each other through Paris and finally onto the SS France headed to New York City.
