Tokyo Joe

Humphrey Bogart plays a former US Air Force Colonel and World War II veteran, Joe Barrett, who returns to Tokyo to rebuild his pre-war bar and life. There, he discovers his wife, Trina (Florence Marly), is alive and married to a lawyer working in the American occupation of Japan, and that their seven-year-old daughter, Anya, is actually Joe's. As Joe tries to navigate his way through the complex web of post-war Tokyo, he becomes embroiled in a smuggling plot led by Baron Kimura (Sessue Hayakawa), a former Imperial Japanese official. The situation escalates as Joe's life is threatened, and he must choose between saving his family and risking his own life.
